Since the first episode of the start of season three, bullying has been a consistent theme on “Married to Medicine.” Although the women of “Married to Medicine” have degrees and a couple are even real doctors, that hasn’t stopped them from bullying one other.
Seems like Toya Bush-Wright could be accused of bullying Dr. Simone (as she felt threatened) by Toya’s talks of backing up her expressed words on doing bodily harm. Dr Jackie could be accused of bullying Heavenly by posting the worst picture of her on her office wall, popping up at Heavenly’s house challenging her to a jumping jack fit test; and showing up to Toya’s house unannounced, pointing out that her husband needed to get physically fit as well.
As for Quad Webb-Lunceford’s refusal to accept Lisa Nicole Cloud’s apology on three different occasions but choosing to retaliate by hiring a private investigator and making the statement, “I want to know if her mother’s elbows are ashy;” and then bringing light to Lisa Nicole’s husband’s IRS tax debt and pending garnishmentm could just seem like plain old bullying for no apparent reason, other than returning “evil for evil” in my opinion. Even though Lisa Nicole is holding fast to her reasons for a background investigation as being purely about business and due diligence on her part as a possible investor.
Last week’s episode ended in Cloud and Quad Webb-Lunceford in a heated emotional shouting match that pretty much ends in tragedy. According to blog reports when the drink was thrown it sparked a fight and weaves were pulled, faces were scratched and it ended with Quad having a cut on her face. Is this when you would say “bullying has gone wrong?” According to Quadd, her astrological sign of Taurus limits her to being very stubborn and not easy to forgive. However, in her last blog she did admit to not even being mad at #SheWhoShallNotBeNamed and said the retaliation of pulling a background investigation was simply to show #SheWhoShallNotBeNamed how it felt to not to be a friend.
The sad part is, sometimes the damages cannot be erased. When a person’s buttons are pushed and they loose their cool of course it’s embarrassing. I think we were all embarrassed for Dr. Simone hollering at her husband and as Toya put it “acting like a fool” because she lost her cool. Lisa Nicole Cloud takes her actions seriously as well, because she has a plethora of followers and mentees watching her every move, and she held her own head in shame at the fact she wasn’t able to control her temper. Rolling out spoke with Cloud, who wanted to express sincere apologies to the businesswomen who hold her in high regard..
“Losing my cool with Quad, I let myself down, my family, my community and peers; and for this I not only express apologies but I wanted to point out the fact that I am only human and will admit the only time I’ve been known to lose all couth, is when someone takes the liberty to offend my family. Especially when the accusations are completely false and ridiculous lies. I just might lose my cool and blow my top and it’s so unfortunate this all had to play out on national television. When it comes to my family, I will not sit back and let getting bullied prevail. It’s one thing to turn the other cheek, but at some point when you have no more cheeks to turn and both cheeks are red; I feel as though any normal human being with or without a degree or decor[um] about themselves will still ‘stand their ground,’ in defense. I only wish I [had] chosen a better way to handle what I felt was flagrant bullying,” says Cloud.
What are your thoughts? Was Lisa Nicole’s defensiveness justifiable in honor of her family name and reputation? Or was there a better way to handle the entire incident? Sound off in the comments.
