A powerful transformation for female entrepreneurs, CEOs, executives and mommy moguls took place in Atlanta on Saturday, Jan. 9 at the Glam University signature GirlPower SleepOver.
Atlanta’s first lady, Sarah Langford Reed, was on hand to share in the occasion and express the impact this engagement has on women entrepreneurs in the city of Atlanta and beyond. Nasty Gal CEO and author of #Girlboss Sophia Amoruso emphasized how much power women have to transform, create and produce in the retail and digital space. She recounted firsthand experiences on how she became a millionaire and Internet mogul both in digital retail and social media.
Also on hand were author Zane, pop culture critic Karen Civil among the many other young accomplished veterans and talents in the industry who were present and sharing their success stories, their failures and their comebacks.
The GirlPower SleepOver was an example of a conscious CEO, Sabrina Peterson, breathing life into dreams, not only hers but to elevate and inspire other women who have similar desires to create a #girlpower nation and movement.
Peterson reminds women you can flip your circumstances from negative to positive, transform a dream to a live and successful reality. The GirlPower SleepOver provided an opportunity for hundreds of women who reach thousands and in many cases even millions via social media to connect and cultivate new businesses.
The takeaway from what is slated to be a quarterly event is its key for women to have the three points of of success to stay in the driver’s seat.
There’s access to capital and information. Lastly, it’s your network, strategically building it and maintaining it. There were three hundred women in attendance who either ran their own businesses or were C-suite leaders at their companies.
