“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans got a surprise earlier this week when reports revealed that Kenya Moore and her boyfriend, Matt Jordan, had abruptly decided to split up. At the time of the split, little was known other than that Jordan felt guilty about his role in the breakup. But now new reports claim that the couple didn’t end on the happiest of terms.
As previously reported, fans learned about the split this Wednesday when Jordan posted a revealing message on his Instagram page, in which he explained that his relationship with Moore fell apart because of his insecurities.
“Looking back I blame myself totally. I learned very late in the relationship that a woman will not trust a man fully if he seems irresponsible or not up to standard in areas of a relationship. If she doesn’t feel like she can put trust in a man emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc… That will cause a woman to feel resentment and most of all untrusting in her man. Because of what he lacks she does not feel like she will be properly protected or served! So the woman will not feel like she can give her all to a man that is unstable or irresponsible in areas of the relationship. Causing her to go inward emotionally. I was in denial of my flaws until late in the relationship. it causes me to feel untrusting in her because I did not feel like I had her FULL love and attention. I didn’t realize that I created my own circumstances. It’s crazy how life has a way of showing you your own flaws making you look at yourself in the mirror!! To the men out there. Brothers in particular being a real man is a lot more than just being a strong physical dominating presence and opening doors for her,” Jordan wrote.
With so little information available, fans were left wondering how the couple made the decision to breakup. But according to new media reports, the split wasn’t peaceful at all. Sources say that things went south when the former pair traveled to Mexico together.
Sources say that Moore and Jordan got into an argument and that Moore ended up locking herself in her hotel room to get away from him. But that allegedly didn’t deter Jordan because sources say that he ended up kicking the door down and continued the argument, during which he allegedly called her a “b—-” and a “c—” repeatedly.
Sources say that things never got physical and that eventually Moore and Jordan stopped arguing. When it was finally time to return to Atlanta, Moore and Jordan took the same flight, but Moore changed the seating so that Jordan wouldn’t be next to her.
However, the sources say that Jordan took the low rode and took Moore’s luggage when they landed back in Atlanta. Moore decided not to cause a scene and just went home. But the ordeal reportedly didn’t end there because sources say that Jordan showed up on Moore’s driveway later on and dumped her luggage on the ground.
Sources say that at this point Moore had enough of the drama and verbal abuse and decided to break things off with Jordan.
Reports also claimed that Moore posted a pair of now-deleted Instagram messages addressing the split. In the first one, she posted a photo of a pair of sunglasses with one side of the frames cracked and broken. Moore reportedly captioned the photo, “love is never aggressive, hurtful, threatening, vindictive or accusatory nor distrustful. Love is never a c— or a b—-. Love is never demeaning or degrading. My love is real. My love is kind. My love is protective. My love elevates not destroys. My love is generous. My love is forgiving. my love is patient. My love is respectful. My love is worthy or the same.”
Later on, Moore posted a brief message to her fans, hinting that there may be hope for them to reconcile.
“Matt and I are having some issues but there is no question we have love for each other. Respectfully, please allow me to go through my own process. We appreciate some privacy at this time,” Moore wrote.
