Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida finds love behind bars, announces engagement.
According to TMZ, the reality TV star turned prison inmate is engaged to a woman viewers have yet to meet. According to reports, Nida began dating his wife-to-be about two years ago, before popping the question in the past couple of months. Though the future Mrs. Nida’s identity has yet to be disclosed, she’s allegedly filmed scenes for the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” with the possibility of making more appearances at a later date.
“You see that smile? That’s how she makes me feel all over! #MyQueen #NidaFitness #TheNidaTeam #FreeApollo #Goodmorning,” Nida wrote via Instagram, confirming the rumors.

The surprising news comes less than two weeks after Phaedra Parks and Nida finalized their divorce. As you may recall, the pair filed for divorce in October of 2014. However, it took roughly two years to make it official. In case you missed it, on the last episode of RHOA, Parks revealed to her co-stars that the divorce was still in progress and that she wasn’t dating anyone.
Meanwhile, Nida, 37, is currently serving an eight-year sentence in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud and identity theft. As previously reported, Parks’ ex-husband was charged for his involvement in a four-year scheme involving bank, mail, wire fraud, and ID theft of more than 50 people. Since starting his sentence, Parks has made it clear her focus is on raising the pair’s two boys.
“I am not looking for a man, as I know the right man is looking for me. When he finds me, I know he will be God fearing, kind, generous, conscientious, but most importantly he will love my sons as much as I do,” Parks recently shared with BravoTV.com. “My first priority is always my children, so to date me, you have to court them as well.”
In an earlier interview with TMZ’s Raq Rants, the entertainment attorney shut down any chance that she and Nida would rekindle their flame. “I never say never, but in this case, I don’t think that would be a possibility,” the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” mom said. “At the end of the day, we’re friends and we have our kids together, so we’ll always be friends. We’ll always have a relationship.”
