Details of Jennifer Hudson's domestic violence report surface

Late last year, Jennifer Hudson and her former fiancé, David Otunga, made headlines when it was reported that Hudson got into an argument that resulted in her getting an order of protection against him. Now, details about that shocking night have been revealed as Hudson’s police report has surfaced online.

As previously reported, the argument happened on Nov. 16, 2017, and stemmed from Otunga’s anger and jealousy over Hudson’s recording session with an unnamed producer. Initial reports claimed that Otunga was convinced that Hudson was sleeping with the man and Otunga was angry that Hudson had their 8-year-old son, David Jr., in the studio with the producer.

Well, according to news reports, things got heated between Otunga and Hudson when she and her son finally returned home that night and the couple began arguing over where their son would sleep that night. The police report claims that Otunga accused Hudson of dating the producer and that he warned Hudson, “Don’t have my son around your f–king boyfriend,” adding that he would show up at the studio and “f–k him up.”

Hudson denied that she and her producer were dating but she says Otunga didn’t believe her. She claims that later in the argument Otunga picked up their son, told her “I’m not leaving” and then took their son to an upstairs bathroom. Hudson chased him into the bathroom but alleges that Otunga pushed her out of the room with both hands and she stumbled backward and yelled for her security guard. However, her guard says he never heard Hudson’s call.

Otunga denies laying a finger on Hudson, but the following day Hudson got a restraining order against him and had the police remove him from their family home.

The report also mentions an incident in April 2017 in which Hudson claims she walked into their kitchen to find Otunga sitting next to what she believed was a real gun as he stared at her with a chilling look on his face. However, Otunga explained to her that it was just a prop gun from a movie set and he removed it from their home.

Despite how tense things got between the former couple last year since last November Hudson has dropped the restraining order and she and Otunga have been able to work out a temporary custody agreement for their son.
