Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell-Martin once had what people considered an unbreakable bond. Today, people are wondering how they ever got together in the first place.
While Campbell-Martin, 50, lobbied the accusations that Martin, 53, has stolen millions, he says his estranged spouse is not a reliable source since she is mentally unstable. This represents a radical turnaround after Campbell-Martin had dropped a restraining order against Martin after claiming he punched her.
According to the court documents obtained by TMZ, Martin said he does not believe Campbell Martin is able to control her emotions. He is also claiming his estranged wife has had multiple mental breakdowns, including a “severe” episode back in August 2017.
Today, Martin says his wife is anxious and paranoid, claims that she has been “fabricating stories that clearly are untrue” and has been “raging” against other people.
The back and forth between the couple is coming down to the final custody arrangements as well as the division of marital assets.
Campbell-Martin, who is best known for her roles in the House Party movie trilogy, Boomerang and the sitcom “Martin” (that starred Martin Lawrence), fires back at her husband, whose claim to fame are the sitcoms “All of Us” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” as well as the movie, Above the Rim.
She says that Martin is once again employing the “gaslighting” technique that he used frequently during the marriage. Campbell-Martin told the court she is set to star in a new sitcom and has a bevy of other major projects in the works. In other words, she says she’s stable or else she would be unemployable.
The saga continues.
