Things have suddenly gotten supercharged and tense along the corridors of power at Young Money Records. Superstar rapper Drake committed treason in the first degree, in the minds of Nicki Minaj fans, when Drizzy had the audacity to bring out Minaj’s rap rival Cardi B during the OVO Fest.
The fans went crazy at the surprising musical moment, which served to enrage Barbie disciples even more.
The smash-hit concert fest started innocently enough. Drizzy brought out Meek Mill, Megan Thee Stallion and other stars. However, Drake blew the top off the building when he brought out Cardi B, which is pure blasphemy to Nicki fans.
Cardi was geeked about the opportunity to rip the stage with Drizzy, and she stated as much in a Twitter post after the show:
“Thank you @Drake for bringing me out at OVO fest ! S— was 🔥🔥🔥🔥.You see I would do a CardiO fest in The Bronx but ya can’t even behave in Bity Island 😩😩😩😩.”
Minaj fans were not in a celebratory mood. The two New York City-bred bombshells, Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, 26, and Onika Tanya Maraj, 36, have history. Their years-long feud climaxed when they brawled during the latest New York Fashion Week in Manhattan.
Fans of the Pink Barbz let Drake know how they feel about him.
One fan railed against him on Twitter, posting: “nah bruh Drake is the biggest snake in the industry. ya he makes good a– songs but how the f— do you bring out someone that your “sister” clearly doesn’t get along with? Drake folds every time he’s on bad terms with Nicki. biggest fraud. first Migo’s then Meek and now Cardi B.”
Another tweeted that Drake has no sense of loyalty to Nicki Minaj, adding: “First of all Drake doesn’t see Nicki as his “sister”. That man been wanting to get with her 😭.”
