After 13 years of healing patients as a registered nurse, Cindy Tawiah now heals women through hair care. Diva By Cindy is a natural, alcohol-free brand with extreme detangling abilities that infuses hair with moisture and helps stimulate growth.

Launched in 2007, it is the first Black hair care company with an automated vending machine in an international airport. The vending machine is located on concourse D inside of Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Maryland.
As a survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse, Tawiah edifies women beyond their outer appearance.

“We can look as fly as we want to, but you’re still going to bleed and hemorrhage if you don’t heal that which is within,” she said. “We are going to help you cleanse from inside out. The product is a vehicle and a conduit to healing.”

The native of Ghana, West Africa, is also the author of the 2015 book Metamorphosis: Finding Your Passion, Finding Your Purpose, Finding U, a memoir chronicling her journey to overcome adversity and achieve success.
