How did you determine your career path?

My career path started when I worked in my dad’s beauty salon as a child. At 10 years old, I was selling cosmetics to the women in the salon and was able to keep 100% of the profits. My dad never worked for anyone, which gave him a freedom to do what ever he wanted. I followed in those footsteps finding my niche in photography, which is what I have my degree in, and later opening a space where my work and the work I love can always be shown.

Describe the skills that will be essential to future entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators.

You have to be flexible and keep going. There will be problems along the way, but you have to push through and keep going. Also, whatever ideas you have in your head execute them. Don’t waste time.

Describe how you set goals and evaluate your success.

I am very big on writing out my goals and creating vision boards. It’s always wonderful to look at those boards or what you’ve written down and see how they have come to pass.

What’s your favorite vacation spot?

Anywhere warm. Detroit cold is like no other city just cold and grey for days. I see[k] out warm places to explore arts, culture and green living.
