NeNe Leakes was breathing fire after Andy Cohen threw shade her way for allegedly wearing the same outfit twice on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
The lone original “RHOA” star clapped back at Cohen’s “pointless” comment.
It all went down on Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” show with “RHOA” star Eva Marcille and singer Ashanti as his guests.
Cohen, the “Real Housewives” franchise creator, had this to say about Leakes’ dress:
“By the way, one NeNe’s confessional look this year is the same dress she wore to our big doorbell show in LA where the strap broke,” he said as the women cringed. “So, I guess she fixed her strap, which we love. You know what, we just love our eagle-eyed researchers here.”
The audience howled at the revelation.
Marcille tried to choke back her laughter by covering her mouth, prompting Cohen to respond: “Why, was that shady? I didn’t mean for that to be shady.”
Marcille tried to sympathize with Cohen by saying he’s just like her in that she doesn’t try to be critical, “but sometimes it comes out shady.”
Leakes quickly got wind of Cohen’s comment and she issued a sharp retort on Twitter:
“Can somebody please tell me what was the point of this? That was two years ago I wore this dress ONCE, so I cannot sit in a confessional with it on @bravoandy. How many times have you recycled your suits and your ties? It is enough that we #RHOA ladies come for each other and now we also have to worry about executives coming for us! Wasn’t you interviewing those girls? What you mad about? Y’all stay coming for me but soon as I say something or do something I’m wrong. I DON’T APPRECIATE THIS AT ALL.”
What do you make of Cohen’s statement about Leakes’ dress? Was Leakes justified in coming back at him?
