Judge denies request to have Jesse Jackson removed from Ahmaud Arbery trial

“The court is not going to single out any particular individual or group of individuals as not being allowed into this courtroom as a member of the public. If there is a disruption, you’re welcome to call that to my attention,” Judge Walmsley said.

Jackson spoke with reporters after yesterday’s court appearance and revealed he had a “moral obligation” to attend the proceedings and would be present throughout the trial.

“I am [standing] by people who are in need, backs against the wall. It’s what we do. So we are going to keep sitting with this family. It is a priority focus of ours now,” Jackson said.

Take a listen as Gough made his plea for Jackson to be removed.
