Cordae cracks the code on his latest release

Cordae’s content is insightful and well thought out. This is not a group of songs just thrown on a project to meet a contractual agreement. It feels like a look inside a 24-year-old’s mind who has been blessed to be at the top of his craft.

The project is pretty solid, however, he could have spread the features a bit more and cut the tracklist. Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Stevie Wonder and Eminem appear as features.  It’s my opinion that ten tracks are generally a sweet spot these days. With that said, hearing Stevie Wonder’s legendary harmonica over the lush production on “Champagne Glasses” featuring Freddie Gibbs is amazing. Also, Wayne continues his streak of setting fire to the mic with his verse on “Sinister.”

Cordae is in his moment right now and he aspires to level up every chance he gets.

Stand-out tracks are “Jean-Michel,” “Momma’s Hood,” “Today,” “Champagne Glasses” and “Sinister.”

I give From a Bird’s Eye View 4 out of 5 stars. Have you listened to the project? What do you think? Share in the comments.
