Polo G is in hot water with New York City cops after accidentally leaving a gun behind in a Manhattan hotel.
The rapper — born Taurus Bartlett — was arraigned in the Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon, as reported by the New York Post on April 11.
Barrett reportedly stayed at the Dominick Hotel in the lower Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo, where a housekeeping attendant discovered a loaded Glock along with 10 extra bullets in his room before authorities were called to the scene.
“This man is 100 percent serious in terms of his work, in terms of his professionalism,” Barrett’s attorney told the judge during his bail hearing. “He has absolutely no incentive to flee because he has a career he’s built.”
The “Through Da Storm” rapper was eventually granted a $25,000 cash bail despite prosecutors vying for no bail and portraying the Chicago native to be a flight risk while citing his past criminal record including arrests for assault, kidnapping and robbery.
Last year, G was arrested after a raid of his southern California home in connection to an alleged robbery perpetrated by his brother, Trench Baby.
Polo G will return to New York for his court date on June 4.
