Teyana Taylor, Jerome Bettis, other stars shine at Atlanta Falcons’ season opener

Teyana Taylor and Killer Mike filled the game’s celebrity roster
The Atlanta Falcons‘ 2024 season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers wasn’t just about the action on the field — it was a star-studded spectacle with celebrities lighting up the sidelines and delivering electrifying performances.

Radio Hall of Famer Ryan Cameron served as the game’s announcer. Famed former “Rap City” host Big Tigger was the event’s DJ, and his spinning kept the energy up in Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the entire three-hour span of the game. In the first game break, Tigger played a Rich Homie Quan tribute mix in the Falcons’ fan section with Pastor Troy next to him. The mix included “Some Type of Way,” “Flex (Oh, Oh, Oh)” and “Walk Thru.”

At the end of the first quarter, Killer Mike performed “Kyrptonite” and “Kill Jill.” He ended his set with “rest in peace, Rich Homie Quan.”

During a break segment called “Air Guitar,” the camera cut to Slash, the legendary guitarist from Guns N’ Roses, who played “Welcome To The Jungle” for the pleasantly surprised fans in attendance. Then, rap legend Soulja Boy performed “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” while wearing a No. 7 black Falcons jersey.

The Falcons also highlighted that Teyana Taylor was in attendance. Taylor was on the sideline during pregame wearing a throwback black Falcons jacket.

On the Pittsburgh Steelers side of things, legendary running back Jerome Bettis — also known as “The Bus” —  was at the game.
