Style maven June Ambrose hosted HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” fashion fete, kicking off the start of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2013. In a very 1920s themed venue, New York’s fashion elite joined together in their feathered dresses and exquisitely tailored suits to celebrate the highly anticipated return of the HBO show “Boardwalk Empire.” Attendees where stylishly transported into the 1920s and surrounded by prohibition crates and signature red carnations.
In the world of fashion, there are very few titles June Ambrose hasn’t held. Who better to curate an event themed around one of the most fashionable era’s in American history? Ambrose herself was in full 1920’s garb with a modern twist. Ambrose wasn’t the only one who was fully enthused about the theme: singers Estelle and Deborah Cox wowed the crowd in their flapper apparel.
Michael K. Williams, who plays Albert “Chalky” White on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” didn’t let the ladies outshine him. Williams was quite dapper in his floral print shirt and leather lapel.
