Snoop Dogg/Snoop Lion
One of rap’s most famous artists re-emerged a Rasta in 2012. The West Coast hip-hop icon told reporters that he had been rechristened “Snoop Lion” by a Rastafarian priest in Jamaica and he released his first reggae single, “La La La” from his upcoming all-reggae album, Reincarnated. In 2013, he also released a documentary of the same name, detailing his conversion and name change.
