President Obama assassination attempt

ricin, obama

A letter addressed to President Obama tested positive for ricin, the same poisonous substance that was also mailed to a senator, the media reports.

The letter to Obama was intercepted at an off-site White House mail facility and was being tested further, the officials within the Department of Justice report. A federal law enforcement official said that the letter was “very similar” to one addressed to Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss, according to NBC and ABC News.

Why this individual would believe the president would ever open his own mail without them being thoroughly screened is one question. But here’s another: Most people are probably curious about what ricin is, what it is made from and just how deadly it is.
