On March 19, Lexus brought its live Verses and Flow event to Chicago with much fanfare.
Held at the decadent Chicago Illuminating Company in the South Loop neighborhood, much like the popular TV One series, the night featured thought-provoking spoken word and captivating live music. DJ Vince Adams was on the ones and twos to keep the crowd rocking until the show began.
The packed house of attendees got a chance to sit behind the wheel of some newer Lexus models and sign up for more information if they really liked what they saw. Meanwhile, hometown favorite emcee, Rhymefest, served as host for the evening. Poet Reggie Eldridge took the stage first and wowed the audience with his moving words, then it was Ledisi’s turn to bring it home. The New Orleans born and Oakland raised songstress immediately engaged the audience beginning with a short acoustic set before going through her catalog of hits and ending her set with her feel-good jam “Alright.” DJ Vince Adams brought the event to a close.
