The recent fourth installment of the growing Art Fusion: The REMIX event series brought forth a night of music, art, food and much more.

Held at the private loft residence of event planner Terrell Johnson, the evening featured the soulful sounds of fast rising musical curator DJ M. Elle along with a live performance by The Acoustic Blue Collective. Guests were treated to signature cranberry-infused cocktails fashioned by mixologist Josh Davis while enjoying tasty treats provided by Yvonn Lee of HeavenLee Bites. Art by Kierra Carter and Roger Carter decorated the walls to add to the atmosphere in addition to the specially designed throw pillows by Kimberly Davis of Repurpose Abstract Designs that were on display around the space.

Event co-planner Concitta Cavin says one of the goals of the intimate monthly event is to offer an alternative for Chicago’s young professionals that are weary of the typical club experience. “We definitely try to do something different,” says Cavin. “Our goal with each installment is to provide a fulfilling and meaningful experience where people can enjoy music, food, drinks, and art while networking in an relaxed environment.”

The Art Fusion: The REMIX event series is a pairing of creative individuals from various industries and different discipline placed in a social setting under one roof, for one night, with one purpose: to share, inspire and engage each other and introduce guests to their bodies of work. Each installment features original art, top shelf cocktails, food, music and more.

The next event in the series, titled “… I Even Got An All-Girl Band,” will feature an all-female lineup and is scheduled to take place on Jan. 31.
