African American professionals came to the Metropolitan Room at the Willis Tower, formerly Sears Tower, in Chicago to celebrate the tenth anniversary of BlackDoctor.org. BlackDoctor.org is the world’s largest and most comprehensive online health resource specifically targeted to African Americans. BlackDoctor.org has over 1 million Facebook followers and currently generates of 14.5 million views per month, eclipsing many prominent digital publications.

CEO Reginald Ware has over 20 years experience in the marketing and publishing space. He is the original creator of Heart and Soul magazine. Heart and Soul was the first healthy lifestyle magazine targeting African American women. Ware’s team celebrated his accomplishments and provided him with gifts to show their appreciation.

We asked executive editor Sandria Washington about the significance of BlackDoctor.org reaching this milestone and what it means to the Black community. “BlackDoctor.org thriving after a decade is so significant because we’ve put the health of African Americans front and center and made our health a topic of everyday conversation. We are empowering our readers with life-changing information every single day and what can be greater than a nation of empowered, healthy Black people?” she said.

The 66th floor of the Willis Tower provided a view of the city that was ideal as a backdrop for this gathering and celebration of greatness.  Congratulations to BlackDoctor.org. We wish you many years of success.
