The Silver Room in Hyde Park played host to Hey Brown Girl presented by Aplomb and their most recent event “Let’s hear it for the Boy,” a pop up event celebrating women and men who love all things vintage, everything from clothing and accessories to home goods and more. The event featured eight different vendors, all offering something unique. Those who took the time to look around the already hip Silver Room would find everything from a fox fur to Diana Ross records and trading cards from the 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears. Men sporting bowties and tweed sport coats along with women in beautiful dresses brought to mind a more stylish and pristine era when it comes to clothing and demeanor.

Dollars were circulating and relationships were building. It was a great time celebrating nostalgia and supporting black business.
