The next generation of hip hop royalty is ready to take over.

WE tv’s “Growing Up Hip Hop” premieres on Jan. 7, but the show’s Dec. 10 red carpet event gave the world a peek at who we can look forward to seeing on the show’s explosive first season. Romeo Miller (Master P’s son), Angela Simmons (Rev Run’s daughter), and Kristinia DeBarge (James DeBarge’s daughter) were among the cast members in attendance.

Other stars who were spotted in style included Taye Diggs, Lil Kim, Ray J, Raven-Symoné, and Salt-n-Pepa.

“Growing Up Hip Hop” centers on the children of some of the most successful figures in urban music. The program highlights the challenges that the talented offsprings face in escaping the shadow of their parents and making a name for themselves in a lane of their own.
