Young RJ is a Detroit rap legend with more gas left in his tank to burn. Legendary producer and disk jockey Statik Selektah and Atlantic Records signee Joyner Lucas teamed up with the Slum Village member for “Motion.” “Motion” is another stellar single (“Huh,” “Wait,” “Issues”) that RJ has dropped from his upcoming debut album, Blaq RoyalT.
Produced by the late J Dilla, and Detroit sound master Ice-Pic, “Motion” has a face-first message that’s presented through Statik’s scratches, RJ’s ice-cold delivery, and Lucas’ personal verse. Though the track was uploaded to Soundcloud’s platform recently, it already has over 16,000 plays in less than two days.
