Rapper EverybodyKnowsLo, né Lowell Grissom, 31, was partying at the Greenwich Village, New York Anthony Night Club when he says his face was sliced. He’d just put in a song request to the deejay when the attack happened. He was headed downstairs from the DJ booth and an unknown assailant struck him with a sharp object. Grissom and his manager jumped into a taxi to seek medical assistance.
He had 50 stitches to seal the two deep cuts; one was about eight inches long and a second cut was about two inches long. He tweeted on Oct. 9 that he was ready to move to New York.
The Los Angeles rapper’s hit singles are “I Forget” and “Run It Up.” He recently released “Sneak Dissin'” on Soundcloud.
There are no identifiable suspects, no arrests have been made and no reason was provided for the attack.
