For the eighth consecutive year, Real Times Media presented the DRIVEN Experience 2018. The event is a tribute to multicultural achievement in the automotive industry and is held during the Detroit Auto Show. It celebrates diversity within the automotive industry for people of color and recognizes them for making significant contributions to the auto industry and for achieving higher levels of professional success in their respective auto-related fields. This year’s event was hosted by Emmy Award winner Ed Gordon, and awards were presented to:

  • Michelle Sourie Robinson, CEO of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council;
  • Roy Roberts, recipient of the DRIVEN Lifetime Achievement Award and chairman, Global Automotive Alliance;
  • Jimmy Settles, vice president UAW-Ford and recipient of the DRIVEN 50 Year Dedication Award; and
  • Gordon Follmer, principal UHY LLP Certified Accountants and recipient of the Advocate of the Year Award.

The celebration didn’t stop with the presentation of awards either. After the honorees were presented with their awards, R&B crooner Eric Roberson performed and the world-renowned DJ Kid Capri got the after-party started. He rocked the house with hot bangers from the past several decades, keeping the dance floor lit the entire time.
