On Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, makeup artist Tie Cooper hosted her first Atlanta Hi BeauTea Party event. Cooper originally created the event as a scholarship fundraiser for beauty industry professionals and enthusiasts, but the event was so much more than that. She brought together women with similar passions for a day of high tea at The Swan Coach House in Buckhead. The women came dressed for the occasion wearing beautiful sundresses, hats, gloves, and heels. Guests enjoyed tea, finger sandwiches, and light desserts.

The event featured celebrity makeup demos, vendor shopping, pamper stations and a raffle giveaway. Throughout the day luxury gifts were raffled off from full makeup sets to full body massage certificates. The women’s empowerment panel discussion was the highlight of the day. Panelist Tahira Wright, CEO of The Cut Life, Christelsie Johnson, professional makeup artist, Tracy Nicole, of Tracy Nicole Clothing and Teneya Gholston, director of marketing for Cream of Nature answered questions and shared advice with the ladies. Every woman in the room was able to take away something from the insightful tips that the ladies shared. Following the panel, Cooper presented a beauty scholarship to a young makeup artist.

The Hi BeauTea Party was a success, bringing together women to empower them in the name of the beauty industry. Guests were happy to hear that Tie Cooper will be hosting this event in Atlanta annually from now on.
