Rolling out recently teamed up with Buick to host an exclusive experience during Celebration Bowl weekend in Atlanta. The “Celebrate the Come Up” game day lounge took place at The Loft at Castleberry Hill on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.
Attendees had an opportunity to experience the new Buick Enclave, Buick Avenir while displaying their HBCU pride and watching the battle between the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the Alcorn State Braves.
The event was hosted by Morehouse College alumnus Fonzworth Bentley and featured several celebrity guests, including actor Christian Keyes, R&B singer Jacob Latimore, QT Jazz, author Arian Simone, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, actress Brely Evans, Atlanta news anchor Francesca Amiker, Atlanta news anchor Sharon Reed and fitness guru Jessica Laine.
Music was provided by DJ Fadelf, and food was catered by the historic Paschal’s restaurant.
“I love the history and enrichment that comes from the HBCU experience. You can’t get that experience from anywhere else in the world,” Keyes said during an interview with rolling out. “Buick making HBCUs important makes them important to me. The fact that they will dedicate resources and time says a lot.”
TaNesha McAuley, a graduate of North Carolina Central University, was one of many attendees who reveled in the day’s festivities celebrating HBCU excellence and pride.
“It was a great opportunity to enjoy the game and network with other HBCU graduates,” she said. “It was good that Buick was able to connect with the community.”
