As a Black woman, what do you consider your superpowers to be?
Multitasking is an art, and those that have mastered it know it’s a vital key to getting the job done and one of my superpowers. I have responsibilities at work and home that require my attention, people that count on my ability to make decisions, execute and trust that I will do what I say in a timely manner. I create a detailed task list whether it’s for work or personal and check off each task upon completion. It’s a great feeling when my checklist is complete, and I start all over again.
What key skills or qualities make you unique as an African American female leader?
The quality that makes me unique as a female leader is the ability to negotiate. Working within budget constraints you have to be able to assess quickly what works for the best results. I don’t like to be limited in what I can do because of budget limits, I believe all things are possible, and I strive to make the sky the limit in my request to get the job done.
As a successful woman in business, what is your proudest achievement?
As a successful brand manager, my greatest achievement is when I am able to reshape a brand’s image into the hottest, most sought-after product.
