The imbroglio popped off after a segment when a discussion got heated regarding photographs of daytime talk queen Ellen Degeneres seated next to former Republican President George W. Bush at a sporting event last week.
TMZ fans and Lathan’s contemporaries were stunned by the firing.
Neither Lathan nor TMZ has returned media inquiries about Lathan’s firing.
