Known for its quirky design, the KIA Soul is easily recognizable on the street. For 2020, KIA Motors America has rolled out a completely new version for its unconventionally styled subcompact and “poured more of its soul into nearly every inch of the vehicle.” The final product is the 2020 Soul GT-Line 1.6 Turbo, the third generation of this KIA Motors’ car.
Make no mistake about it: the 2020 Soul GT is the next generation for KIA cars. KIA continues to elevate the Soul with its unmatched style, zippy performance and urban practicality. The carmaker also added some cool features to the Soul with Forward Design, Modern Tech, and More Diverse Model Lineup.
It also has an iconic shape and profile evolve on top of an all-new platform; a technologically advanced cockpit designed to provide a visceral musical experience; an available 10.25-inch wide display2 and available Head-Up Display2b play up Soul’s high-tech image; and new “GT-Line” models and “X-Line” that add more visual and performance excitement to the Soul family.
Zippy turbocharged Soul
Rolling out test-drove the turbocharged Soul GT. This zippy little car has some get-up-and-go. For the person who requires something powerful yet practical, the optional turbocharge is for you. You will find underneath the hood a 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged I-4 GDI engine + 7-speed dual-clutch transmission packed with 201 horsepower. Don’t let the small size fool you.
Customized moods and music
When KIA Soul first hit the scene in 2009, it branded itself as a fun car by connecting itself with music. (Of course, we cannot forget the KIA Soul commercials featuring the hamster mascots bopping and vibing to the latest tunes.)
KIA’s connection with music continues in the 2020 Soul. The volume has been turned up with a new mood lighting system, which tailors the interior ambiance according to a variety of selectable “moods”:
Hey! Yo!
Party Time
Traveling
Romance
Midnight City
