Detroit rocker Kid Rock shuttered his restaurant following the nonstop harassment he claims he received following his obscene and profanity-filled rant against billionaire Oprah Winfrey.
Rock, 48, born Robert James Richey, was a drunken, slovenly mess while performing onstage at a honky-tonk club in Nashville. Without explanation or provocation, he suddenly pivoted and went off on a vile tirade against the OWN Network owner as well as the likes of “The View” co-host Joy Behar and Kathy Lee Gifford.
The ferocity of the blowback he received in the wake of his perverted rant convinced him not to renew the license on his Made in Detroit eatery at Little Ceasers Arena, according to TMZ. The stadium is home to the NBA’s Detroit Pistons and the Detroit Red Wings NHL hockey team.
Most residents in the “D” are already saying good riddance as they protested the fact Kid Rock was able to get a restaurant in the downtown Detroit facility in the first place.
He’s also fed up with being called a racist reprobate who supports a white supremacist in the White House.
“I may be guilty of being a loud-mouth jerk at times, but trying to label me a racist is a joke, and actually only does a disservice to the black community, which I have supported my entire life,” he said according to TMZ.
And in a final act of pettiness, Rock took a loud swipe at activist Rev Al Sharpton, saying: “PS – Hey Al Sharpton, you or your cronies will never beat me you tax-evading, race-baiting clown!” And he then threw in “Trump 2020” as a parting shot.
