Singer-songwriter Vedo keeping real R&B alive with ‘1320’

Who do you look up to artistically?
The Temptations, my mentor Usher, Stevie Wonder, etc.

What is the most important thing to know about navigating the music industry as a rising artist?
Keep your emotions under control, think logically and not emotionally.

How has social media helped you gain recognition and interact with supporters? How do you use it to amplify your brand?
Social media has been a crucial tool when it comes to the promotion of me, my brand, and my music. I feel like if you’re an artist, you need to learn how to navigate it. Social media will make you famous faster than any amount of radio.

Social media allowed me to learn myself and be myself. Social media taught me that you can spend 100 hundred hours on a song but the fans will determine if it’s a hit.

If you could have one feature on your dream song, who would you choose for it?
Stevie Wonder, one of my favorite artists. He writes about life and love, that’s what I want to do. He doesn’t really give you any controversy, he just writes about what he feels. He’s blind so he can’t write about what he sees, he writes about what he feels.

What is next for you?
Acting, signing new artists, just becoming a better artist and businessman.
