Infinity Song, Jay-Z’s Black soft rock band, prays for a safe 2024 (video)

Year full of evolution, reflection and gratefulness

If you are tired of listening to the same thing all the time, Infinity Song is an exceptional option to give a try. The Black soft rock band is composed of siblings Abraham, Angel, Israel and Momo Boyd. The group is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and were discovered while singing on the streets of New York City a few years back.

The Boyd family is originally from Detroit. The quartet is still not the full Boyd family, as other siblings — Victory, Harmony, Michael, John and Liberty — are each solo acts under the Peace Industry Music Group. Victory, who was originally a part of Infinity Song, is still signed to Roc Nation as a solo artist.

Weeks after releasing the album Metamorphosis Complete, Infinity Song spoke to rolling out about their journey and left on a prayer.

How has 2024 been for you all?

Angel: You know when people say last year was my last year of being broke? Well, that was 2023, so 2024 has been great.

Abraham: 2024 has been a dream come true. We did a world tour, we’re going on a tour across the United States this month, and then we’re doing another world tour. We’re at the BET Awards. We’ve never been here before, so we’re super excited and are thanking God for it all.

How has “Hater’s Anthem” changed your lives?

Israel: The thing about that was it was kind of a slow burn, no pun intended to another song of ours, it built and took some time to build us up. It started the process of our lives changing, and we’re so grateful for everything that song did for us.

Angel: It really was an introduction to us as a soft rock band to the world. It was really catchy, really fun. I think it really helped put our name out there.

One of the internet’s favorite questions, Momo, what is your hair routine?

Momo: Oh, wow! You’ve been trying to get the secret.

Well, I can’t divulge the secrets for free. I might have to drop a haircare line or something. Get on my Beyoncé, get on my Cécred.

I’m always open, but not right now.

Fenty Hair?

Momo: That would be nice.

Rihanna’s only two calls away from you, but I wanted to ask about Metamorphosis Complete. What’s the difference between that album and Metamorphosis?

Israel: We repackaged the old project with six new songs.

It shows our whole metamorphosis and journey and progress as artists over the past few years in one package. It’s a really beautiful thing and anybody who listens to it, I think can identify with what we were talking about.

Abraham: Our album Metamorphosis Complete is about the journey of multiple journeys in one project. It’s about self-actualization, reviving oneself or being revived from low places, hardship and coming to the top of the mountain.

It’s also about the pursuit of progress and greatness.

You might not hear that story in the music, but that’s all through what we were thinking about when creating the music. It’s our personal and collective pursuit of greatness. We hope people hear that, feel it and are inspired by it.

Who can pray us out today?

Angel: Dear, Lord, thank you so much for this day. Thank you for this moment. Thank you for the BET awards. Thank you for Rashad.

Lord, we just lift up this moment, lift up this interview, lift up the night before us. We ask for Your presence and thank you in Jesus’ name, amen.
