The industry was thick as last night’s ATL Live on the Park monthly music showcase witnessed history in the making. Band mates Teddy Riley, Lenny Harold, Dave Hollister, Chauncey Black and Tony Tyler reunited to perform some of their biggest hits from the 1990s, including “Before I Let You Go,” “No Diggity” and “Don’t Leave Me.”

Credited for the creation of the New Jack Swing era, Teddy Riley received the Icon Award from Devyne Stephens and his foundation Devyne Intervention, for his commitment to the entertainment community. Ceasar Mitchell, president of Atlanta’s City Council, also presented Riley with a proclamation from Atlanta for his contributions to the city and the music industry.  Guests also enjoyed sneak performances by American actor, singer, comedian and television personality Wayne Brady.

ASCAP and Devyne Stephen’s newest label, UM3G, also presented performances by new artists Mishon, Amber Bullock, Brittnee Camelle, Saint Nick and Marques Anthony.

Notables in attendance included Mayor Kasim Reed, LaTocha Scott (formerly of Xscape), Super producer Jazze Pha, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” reality stars, Stevie J and Joseline, Lisa Borders, the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, comedian Rodney Perry, “RHOA’s” Peter Thomas, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Angel McCoughtry, Bobby V, “R&B Divas” Nicci Gilbert and Monifah and more.
