Count on the BET Hip Hop Awards to bring many of our favorite celebrities, artists, and music industry execs to Atlanta. The festivities started Thursday evening as industry taste makers made their way to various events around the city. Lex Monroe invited a few special fashionistas downtown to Elaine Breedlove Fashion Boutique for the private Hip Hop in High Heels gifting suite. Dondria, D. Woods, Regindrop Lopes, Sharlinda Parker, and “Big Rich Atlanta‘s” Sabrina and Kahdijiah Rowe were among those who snagged some really great gifts.
Hoodrich DJs including DJ Spinz and DJ Princess Cut celebrated DJ Scream‘s award nomination with Waka Flocka Flame, emerging artists Gloss Da Boss, Sy Ari Da Kid, and DJ Swampizzo who has also been making his mark on the scene.
DJ and newly promoted A&R Don Cannon stopped by the Omen Agency for Issa’s Lost Prophet mixtape release with Grand Hustle’s Jason Geter, Big Kuntry King, and more. The event was hosted by Ashley Marietta.
Tahiry Jose, DJ Nabs, DJ Jelly, and DJ Baby Yu were also spotted at a private no-cameras event at Vanquish.
Of course, there were many other events happening in the city, but take a look at the celebrities we spotted!
