Last Saturday, June 21, 2014, Opportunity Hub hosted the Summer edition of Good Hack powered by Accelerate with Google and Be The Match. First launched in March by sf35, an organization for high-performance capacity African-American, Latino, and women entrepreneurs, this all-day idea hack-a-thon benefited under-served communities in the Atlanta area.
Ten teams of business professionals, thought leaders, techies and non-techies came together to hack the challenges and brainstorm functional ideas for non-profit organizations in a competition for the best developed and operational solution. These organizations received new websites, mobile apps and new strategies to implement technology integration that aim to further their organization’s respective service and mission in their communities. The Summer 2014 Goodie Hack winner is MAFDET (Make an Awesome Future by Excellence and Thinking).
