Chicago native Syleena Johnson recently celebrated the release of her sixth studio album, Chapter 6: Couples Therapy, with a intimate album release party at new Chicago venue The Promontory, located in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
Sponsored in part by Johnson’s new label home Blakbyrd Entertainment, along with Heineken, 30+ Marketing and Twoguard Media Group, and Juan and Only Events, the action packed party featured a Q&A session with radio personality Bionce Foxx, an acoustic performance of songs from the new album as well as older fan favorites, and the night ended with a backstage meet and greet where fans got to take pictures with the songstress and star of TV One’s “R&B Divas: Atlanta.”
Notables in attendance included TV host Summer Jackson, State Rep. Ken Dunkin, rising artist Jack Metaphor, and legendary music man George Daniels.
