G.O.O.D. Music recording artist Big Sean and his charity, The Sean Anderson Foundation, recently stopped in Chicago to take part in the “Behind the Mic” lecture series presented by Donda’s House and The Chicago Track.

Hosted by Grammy Award-winning rapper Rhymefest, and Young Chicago Authors artistic director and Louder Than A Bomb founder Kevin Coval, the night featured a group of Chicago’s up-and-coming music artists from both Donda’s House and The Chicago Track showcasing their work and taking part in a Q-and-A session with Big Sean. After the Q-and-A, the young artists and audience members got a chance to listen in on an in-depth conversation with Big Sean about the music industry, his rise to fame, and his advice for aspiring artists.

“Our youth in Chicago need access to high-profile creatives,” said Rhymefest, who also serves as Donda’s House creative director. “We are proud to partner with The Chicago Track and the Sean Anderson Foundation to make access a reality.”

The Chicago Track is a program of The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Young Chicago Authors, and Free Spirit Media made possible through a capacity-building grant from The Chicago Community Trust.
