The Comedy Get Down Tour hit Chicago on Saturday, Jan. 23. Headliners included George Lopez, Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric The Entertainer. The show was held at the United Center in front of a crowd of 12,000 people.
By setting the stage in the middle of the floor, the arena was transformed into an intimate comedy club. Lopez served as the host and opened the show. Following Lopez’s set, all of the comedians came out together and sat in the audience until it was their turn to perform. One by one, each comedian graced the stage sharing their own style of humor. The intense laughter from the audience was a sign that the show was a true success.
The next show on the tour will be on Saturday, Jan. 30 in San Diego, California. Check out photos from Chicago and other tour stops in the gallery.
