The Nation of Islam held its annual Saviour’s Day, Feb. 19-21, 2016, in Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena. On display at the event was the NOI historical exhibit, which showcased interesting pieces dating back to slavery, up through present day events. Atlanta-based historian Eric Majette was invited to showcase his historical collection from the Living Testimony Foundation.

“It was an honor for me to be a part of something that is so necessary to the livelihood of Black people. If we don’t know our history, we don’t have a road map for our future. We have a rich history that should provide a sense of pride for our young people,” Majette said.

The Honorable Minister Farrakhan addressed a standing room only crowd for Saviour’s Day.
