The first lady of Hoodrich Entertainment, DJ Princess Cut, aka Sweet Box Jones, has made quite a name for herself as a Hot 107.9 mixer and the official deejay for the tony retailer, Neiman Marcus-Atlanta.

An Atlanta native, Princess Cut found herself in the right place at the right time in the past decade as she’s worked to build her brand in a male-dominated industry. Early on, she spent a lot of time at the once-thriving Earwax Records, an independent record store specializing in collectible vinyl where DJs battled and clerks were music zeitgeists; it closed over a year ago. It’s where she made some of her best connections.

Here, the lone female DJ with the Hoodrich DJ Coalition chats it up with rolling out about her hustle as a club, radio, mixtape, corporate and celebrity DJ, who loves music from all genres. –jerry clark sr.

My top three places to DJ are at a dope festival or on an island, and add Africa cause I haven’t been there yet!
