It’s a wrap for “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”
The show, which first premiered in 2011 following Atlanta native and hip-hop recording artist T.I. and his colorful family has decided to conclude its run with its 100th episode, set to air in April.
“VH1 is incredibly proud of this long running series and our partnership with Tip and Tameka,” says Nina L. Diaz, EVP, Head of Unscripted, VH1 and MTV, in a statement. “For six years, they have opened their home and shared countless family moments with us. Reaching 100 episodes is a milestone and we couldn’t be more excited to bring viewers the highly anticipated final season.”
While news of the cancellation will likely dredge up drama surrounding the pair’s very public marital issues, VH1 went on to maintain that both T.I., 36, and Tiny, 41, “remain more committed than ever to the family hustle” and are “working together to figure out their new normal.”
As you may recall, the couple, who married in 2010 in Miami Beach, Florida, were headed for splitsville after Tiny filed for divorce in December. The news came several months after the rumor mill was buzzing with claims that Tip had stepped outside of his marriage with social media star Analicia Chaves, aka Ana Montana. Months prior, the couple welcomed their seventh child, daughter Heiress.
“Yesterday, March 26th, at 2:58 p.m. we welcomed a beautiful baby girl that weighed in at 5lbs. In true Harris fashion, our baby girl made us all HUSTLE, making a surprise early entrance. While we expected her to arrive around April 20th, our PERFECT baby girl decided March 26th was the right time for her DEBUT. My husband, Tip Harris, went from the stage right to the plane from his show in Las Vegas and luckily, made it to Atlanta with time to spare. Our whole clan was together to see our beautiful healthy baby girl make her way into the world. Just the way I like it!! We are looking forward to more exciting times with our #Lucky7. — Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris,” a statement read at the time.
Still, despite their roller-coaster romance, this week, TMZ reported that the couple — who were scheduled to appear in divorce court on Wednesday —- have put a pause on the proceedings. Not only was the pair spotted together during the holiday season and Valentine’s Day, but according to reports, the former Xscape singer neglected to file proof with the court that T.I. had been served divorce papers. At this point, it appears that a reconciliation may be on the rise.
In the meantime, they’ll certainly have their hands full, rearing kids Messiah, 17, who is preparing to go to college, Zonnique, 20, Domani, 15, King, 12, Major Philant, 8, and baby Heiress, 11 months.
