This is a good album.
It’s challenging and difficult in spots, but it’s also a compelling piece of art that succeeds musically — sometimes in spite of Kanye’s insufferable and over-the-top lyrics. This is West’s In Utero or There’s A Riot Goin On or Kid A. The sound of an artist deconstructing his own musical trademarks.
