Mimi Faust has suffered one of the biggest public downfalls of the past year after she and her boyfriend, Nikko, released a private sex tape of theirs to the masses through Vivid Entertainment. And though the “Love & Hip Hip Atlanta” star has been enduring an unending saga of public criticism and controversy, she recently spoke out about the sex tape and denied claims that the tape will have a negative effect on her and Stevie J’s daughter.
During a recent interview with Hot 97, Faust discussed the aftermath of her sex tape and when one of the DJs asked how the porn has affected her daughter, Eva, Faust claimed that Eva is too young to think anything about the matter.
“She’s four. It’s not affecting my daughter,” Mimi said Monday, pointing out that her little girl has bigger problems to face. “You know what, she has to deal with going to school and kids getting stabbed up too, and I have to explain that to her as well.”
Faust, who was obviously offended by all of the talk about her being a bad mother, went on the defense and claimed that there was nothing wrong with filming herself having sex with Nikko.
“It’s a whole lot of other things in this world that are worse than mommy making love to her man,” Faust said.
The DJs also brought up the skyrocketing interest shower rods due to the shower sex scene, and although many feel that Faust should try to market her own line of shower rods, she explained that she already tried and failed to do so.
“No. We’ve already discussed all that and they’re not trying to touch it because it is associated with a sex tape.” Mimi explained.
And just in case fans were wondering if Faust will do anymore sex tapes, she revealed that the one released through Vivid isn’t the only one that she and Nikko made.
“We made like maybe four of five of them because we like to watch ourselves back. That’s that we like to do,” Faust said.
Well, Faust may not see any effects on her daughter right now, but it’s doubtful that conversation about the sex tape won’t ever reach Eva’s ears. And at some point when she gets older, she and her mom will no doubt have to have a conversation about it. But we guess that’s a conversation for another day. – nicholas robinson
