Why is it important for women of color to work in leadership roles and decision-making capacities?
We have been leading all along, but the voices that would listen to us were few and far between. We now have a platform and a stage and a voice, and we cannot waste the opportunity to be heard after being silenced for all these years.
What are three success habits you implement into your daily routine to maintain your success, sanity and peace of mind?
I start every day with the word of God, positive affirmations and something uplifting. I do as much as I can in the day, and the rest will wait until tomorrow. I always make time for my family, as great success is bittersweet without someone to share it with. Learning to say no and being content with it has brought me so much peace. As a brain injury survivor, I must practice these habits daily to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
As a successful woman in business, what is your greatest or proudest achievement?
With excitement, teaching my children to explore their entrepreneurial boundaries and the desires of their hearts. We have included our children in different aspects of our business. Being able to have the support of my family and to celebrate each win with them is amazing.
