Were you always interested in the photo booth business?
I have always been interested in business. I would say it’s something that’s always been in my heart even as a young child.
How have you grown your business so significantly over the years?
From starting with only one photo booth in 2016, my business now operates 11 photo booths in total. We offer everything from LED photo booths, roaming booths, mirror booths, GIF booths, even a 160-degree array camera. Through this, I have also been able to start my other business, DFW Flower Walls, [which] provides quality and custom-made flower walls for any event. I have also been able to grow my team from what was only me to a total of seven.
How important is technology in your day-to-day operations?
Technology plays a significant part in my day to day operations — from making and receiving calls from clients, booking events and signing digital contracts on the Honeybook app, responding to clients’ emails, to even managing my business’ social media accounts.
Describe the skills that will be essential to future entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators.
I believe having excellent communication skills in this field is vital. Along with staying knowledgeable about the product or service you are offering. Also, be smart and keep an agenda to stay on track. And finally, stay humble and always persevere.
Describe how you set goals and evaluate your success.
I begin by setting several events I wish to complete by the end of the quarter. I can evaluate my success using the Honeybook app, which allows me to see the total amount of events I have booked.
