Former engineer Stephanie Humphrey helps people understand technology

The words “yes” and “no” are very powerful. How can women use both words to help themselves excel in life?

Women can use “yes” and “no” in a couple of ways. First, by understanding, they are both complete sentences and do not require any further explanation. Second, by making sure that their response sits squarely on one side or the other.

What two things can you share that you’ve learned from failure or from being uncomfortable?

I’ve learned a couple of things from failure. At the end of the day, your failures only really matter to you, so you don’t have to worry about what others think. There is absolutely no way to grow in a comfort zone so you should embrace uncomfortable moments as the opportunities they truly are.

What women’s organizations do you belong to or admire?

I am the vice president of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Drifters Inc. I admire the organization for their commitment to service and for the true sisterhood I’ve developed within my chapter and throughout the national organization overall.
