Bonfire ATL is known for making smoke and the artists that they promote are nothing short of fire. As the weather starts to cool, these upcoming artists are sure to maintain the heat with their creativity and well-received comedy routines.
Rolling out spoke with comedian Jerel Ledger, a Cleveland, Ohio native, who diagnoses pain with laughter.
Which artists do you feel are making the most smoke right now?
85 South is making the most smoke in comedy. Lizo is making the most smoke for female artists. I’ve got to give her her props. And for sports, I’d say the James brothers: Bronny and Bryce. They’re making waves. Last but not least I’d say myself. I’m making the most smoke.
Who would you say is your inspiration in comedy?
There are so many, but I’d say, Deon Cole. He’s a great writer and he’s naturally funny. He’s experienced with acting roles too. Deon Cole is a well-crafted machine and I relate to his character. A lot of people would say Kevin Hart. But for me, I’d say Deon Cole and Katt Williams.
Speaking of being in front of the camera, what’s next for you?
I’ll be in Atlanta for a month and then I go on tour. The first city on the tour is Addison, Georgia and I’ll be there on November 5 . The tour will be in six different cities and all the details will go up on my website. I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but I’m going to be in Atlanta slanging jokes for at least the whole month of October. Be sure to check my webpage which is goofyledger.blogspot.com for updates.
