How do you utilize technology to benefit the nonprofit?

Prior to the pandemic, our program served youth primarily through in-person programming. As a result of the COVID-19 restrictions, we were able to utilize technology platforms to maintain support for our youth and provide a consistent community for them to continue to learn, grow and experience robust opportunities to support their development. This year we will use technology to host our 2021 Disruptivator Summit in a virtual format. On July 21-22, over 300 9-12 grade youth from all over the US will convene virtually for a time of innovation, learning and fun. Our team is creating a world class experience for the attendees full of panels, games and experiences covering topics our youth want to hear about.

What are you reading now, and what are your two favorite books?

I just completed reading The Memo by Minda Harts. It was a fantastic book for women, specifically women of color, who are leading in business or who desire to move to the next level. I am a book lover so it is really difficult to choose a favorite book, but two of my top choices is The Bible as it keeps me grounded and focused on my purpose and The Color Purple by Alice Walker is still a favorite as it is a powerful piece of literature that transports the reader to another space in time and makes its characters come to life.
