On Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan, executive producer 50 Cent joined a few hundred enthusiastic invitees, and overjoyed cast members of the new Starz series “BMF” for a private screening of the show’s premiere. A compelling Q-and-A session with 50 Cent and the cast followed the screening.
“The saying goes, ‘There is no right or wrong, there is only truth,’ ” actor Russell Hornsby said exclusively to rolling out.
And how fitting those words were, as Hornsby delivered them from the red carpet of the premiere of the new series that depicts a truly consequential part of Detroit’s legacy.
Cast members in attendance included Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Da’Vinchi, Detroit rapper Kash Doll, and Detroit native and showrunner Randy Huggins.
“It took me about four and a half years to get this project to this point,” 50 said prior to the screening. “This didn’t happen overnight, it took me some time to get it right.”
